Amazing location right in the thick of the Kananaskis wilderness. The lodge is located remote but within short commute of Canmore. While the road is unsealed (and in some areas in rough condition during our visit) t’s generally well kept and easy driving. Views on the way in, at the lodge, and waking up to are worth it! Packed lunch was awesome too!

The accomodation, the location, the view, the restaurant, the staff - so incredibly friendly...in short: everything. One regret, though: we only stayed one night.

We had a lovely room, recently updated with a very comfortable bed. The Elkhorn Lodge provides extra towels and robes to use the hot tub that's available. Check-in was easy with the instructions we were sent beforehand and check out was just as easy. It's a little walk to Banff town centre but we actually liked walking a little bit so you can just leave your car at the lodge and have a nice stroll in to town.

Econo Lodge is situated in Taber. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property. Lethbridge Airport is 57 km from the property.

Loved the staff: friendly, accomodating, professional. They arranged our group an early breakfast since we were a party of hunters that were leaving the rooms very early. We did not expect any breakfast but they were nice enough to leave out the cold stuff for us to help ourselves. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere. Good location.
