Diego and Juanita were the most welcoming persons ever. They helped us with everything se needed and Diego brought us fresh coconuts all the time. The property is run by Melissa, who is a wildlife conservationist by profession and therefore runs the lodge respecting the local biodiversity. The property was built by her family decades back, and so Melissa knows a lot about the area and its history. We really enjoyed going on horseback riding along the coast and her farm as well as going on an early morning hike to appreciate all the wildlife of the region. What I especially loved was listening to the history of the property and the region, and learning more about the various communities that live there. After long days, it was especially magical to sit by the sea and enjoy a drink being surrounded by fireflies!

Wonderful hospitality from Claudia and Francisco, they couldn't do enough to help me and were very patient with my terrible Spanish! This is a wonderful place to disconnect and switch off, it is on a secluded (practically empty) beach with the option to walk to small villages of Guachalito or Termales on either side. The property is set in lush jungle with big palm trees shading you and you can hear the sound of the ocean waves from your bed. Claudia's food was lovely and reasonably priced. I was given support in getting there, and arranging activities in the local area so I could get the most out of my stay. Really enjoyed my time here and would recommend.

El Vijo is a paradise, I would especially recommend it for groups and couples. It is about a 20 mins walk to the next (very) small village, although the walk is not always possible due to the tide. Adolpho and Deude did an amazing job. The food was delicious and Adolpho very kind and helpful. As a solo traveller I would recommend somewhere else but for couples seeking tranquility or groups of friends looking for an amazing experience I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to my next stay there.

The hosts, Vivy and Sebastian were hospitable beyond all expectations, they made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. Furthermore the stay was a experience in itself, spending the evenings hanging in our hammocks in the wooden lodges surrounded by jungle was such a calming sensation.
