Saxon Lodge a bed & breakfast in Gansbaai, which is known as the ideal location for shark cage diving and whale watching. We stayed here overnight after our whale watching boat trip. Tranquail place overlooking the bay. The staff, the manager and the owner were super friendly and welcoming. The family suite was comfortable, open to the property little garden and swimming pool. It would have been an even lovelier place in summer. Wish we could stay longer

Situated on the cliffs of De Kelders, a popular whale-watching spot in South Africa, Sea Star Cliff offers luxurious rooms overlooking the sea. The lodge features a terrace with outdoor pool. Breakfast has as good selection including fresh fruits, and surprisingly a breakfast special everyday which makes their breakfast incredible intriguing. Its extremely difficulty to single out the names to thank the staff because you all welcomed us with sincere hospitality and attentive service. We wholeheartedly loved our room with enormous space to relax and enjoy the sea breeze and view.

This place feels like paradise. The mountain range, the vineyards, the well kept premises, the owners/family, dogs, cats and food are all wonderful. We had the Strelitzia house which has everything you may ever need. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, but more importantly the place feels homey and historical. The veranda was our favourite spot day and night. Sharon, the host is very friendly and helpful. She thinks along with you and has great tips. She is available, but not intrusive. We love this place and are looking forward to returning one day.

This is the perfect spot for an off-the-beaten-track, close-to-nature experience. The accommodation in glamping tents is very comfortable and each tent has an amazing view of valleys and mountains. We loved the small finishing touches in the tent. The shared kitchen and BBQ area are very well equiped. A real highlight of our stay was the walk through the indigenous forest and neighbouring nature reserve. Our hosts, Hilary and Andrew, could not have been more welcoming or informative!
