Very spacious room and bathroom. Largest room and bathroom I've experienced in Japan so far after 2 visits. Up to date toilet, shower facilities etc even included a nice large bath with jets. Location is excellent, right on the main river between Kyoto and Gion and next to the Gion train station.

West Japan Kyoto Kiyomizu is set in Kyoto, in the Higashiyama Ward district. This 1-star hotel offers free WiFi.

We stayed at the apartment (5 minutes walk from the hotel), which was clean, roomy and felt very Japanese to us. We loved it.

English speaking, helpful and quick to give tips that came in very handy! It's a 40 min walk to the cemetary, but on the other hand easily accessible with bus. Its spacious, clean and all in all a very good spot. Would definitely stay here again.
