This is one of the most wonderful and special resort I’ve visited. Set high up on a mountain in the jungle with spectacular views, is this beautiful place of rest and peace. The attention to detail is in itself exquisite. From the building material used for the structures to the delicious plant based cuisine…it’s a slice of paradise. The fact that Selva is self sustaining, consciously respectful in every way of where it is located, it’s imprint on the land, makes me wish other resorts followed this blueprint. Your senses are fed and restored on every level!

Villas are spacious, with wide beds and big bathroom including outside shower. Very good breakfast and also dinners at restaurant were really tasty. Friendly staff. You can walk to the beach (Playa Hermosa).

- 10Scored 10ExceptionalRated exceptional· 277 reviewsEverything - the location in the breathtaking rainforest and mountains overseeing Uvita, the beautifully and carefully kept casitas, the amazing breakfast, the great facilities and the pool, and mostly Keith and Joe (and little Louis), who run the boutique hotel, are fantastic hosts, who made us feel like home. You'll sleep surrounded by the forest, which a surreal experience but with a sense of luxury as well. The casitas and the hotel are environmentally conscious, which is the cherry on top.

I loved the location of the resort up in the jungle overlooking the ocean. The sunsets were amazing and the nets by the pool were an excellent place to watch them. There were beautiful plants and flowers everywhere, birds calling and zipping around, and the resort was beautifully designed. Driving down to town early in the morning I saw 5 blue morpho butterflies, and the resort offers walking tours to learn about the plants and the animals that can be found on the property.
