Fantastic pub in a beautiful location

We only had one night to stay in the Clare Valley so this suited our plans perfectly. Close to Martindale Hall and a great pub next door for evening meal. Very comfortable and a great space to relax. Loved the welcome bottle of local wine for our arrival. Good communication.

It's so close to an excellent pub, the maze, Martindale Hall, etc. It was cosy, and charming, and definitely not soulless or over-polished!

Loved how cosy the cottage was! The bed was so comfy. We both had really good sleep for the three nights of the stay. Loved that some food was provided, we had a lovely brunch without leaving the cottage. The complimentary bottle of wine was also lovely and much appreciated. The bathroom was also really gorgeous, clean and the spa was heavenly. The cottage was just what the doctor ordered for a break away from work and city life.

I’ve watched the restoration Australia tv show and the place reminded me a lot of that show. It was really nice use of wood and stone. There are a lot of nice books in there to read. We were given a nice home baked loaf. It’s very quiet location and you can lay on the bed and look out the large window over the vineyard. The owners of the property were very nice people.

The Pulfords Suite was very comfortable and clean, with everything we could want for a lovely, peaceful getaway. Thank you Reillys Wines. Breakfast and other supplies were very generous and varied. We enjoyed making cooked breakfasts on the outdoor BBQ. We also very much enjoyed the assortment of fruits and the complimentary wines in the room. The setting was lovely. It was very quiet and tranquil. We enjoyed eating our breakfasts on the verandah, sitting out there for a drink in the afternoons, and short walks around the township. It was particularly private and quiet when the adjacent suite was vacant. The two adjacent suites (Pulfords & Priests) would be perfect for two couples travelling together who wanted their own space and bathroom. We loved our 5 course Long Lunch Indulgence Experience with wine pairing at Reillys Restaurant. A very special experience.

The cabn was distant from the other 2 cabns so private, clean and very well designed and obviously small but was very well designed including beds, shower, bench top cooking facilities & aircon. The views out of all the windows was spectacular of the vine yards and vally. The addition of the Barbie allowed us to cook & eat outside with local wine, overlooking the valley till the stars came out which made the evenings there truly delightful.

Extremely well equipped, fantastic breakfast, very thoughtful hosts. House is wonderful - very comfortable.

Very large guesthouse with excellent breakfast and possibility of delicious dinner. Knowledgeable hosts who can help you taste and discover local wine. Highly recommended.

Loved our recent stay at Ernie’s acre. Everything was beyond expectation. Couldn’t fault anything. Our two dogs were very happy with so much secure space to enjoy outside. Will definitely be coming back.

The host was proactive, responsive and gave helpful details for the property. The property was amazing, very chic and up to date furnishings, spacious, and very clean. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again. Overall excellent!
