Beautiful home and location, well kept, and nice and inviting homely touches

It was so restful and relaxing. Was the perfect weekend to spend time with family, we enjoyed the rainforest walk, full kitchen with large oven to make a gorgeous family dinner and then relaxed by the fireplace. We will definitely be back!

Serene and comfortable. Could not have asked for more. We were made to feel at home by Andre from the moment we stepped out of our vehicle. Chai, the resident dog, faithfully accompanied us as we explored the grounds and the river. Clean, facilities on point and the perfect touch of warmth in the little things around the space that make it feel like home. Will no doubt stay here everytime we visit Bellingen.

We stayed at Farmhouse Freida for two nights while exploring Dorrigo National Park, and we honestly didn’t want to leave. We hiked the Wonga Walk to Crystal Falls and swam in the crystal-clear Never Never River at the so-called “Christian holes” — perfect after a long day in the rainforest. The farmhouse itself is a unique experience. Peaceful, quiet, spacious… everything you need is there, and more. We especially loved the amazing CD collection — somehow every album was a hit with our group. The place really feels like a home, not just accommodation. You instantly relax the moment you step inside. The garden is beautiful, full of plants, trees and flowers — a little paradise for bees, insects and birds. We even met the eastern whipbird for the first time (in Dutch: “zwartkopzwiepfluiter”). What an unforgettable call! Highly recommended if you’re looking for nature, comfort, and total peace. Everything about this place is pure magic. The location, the stunning surroundings, the secret river swimming hole, and most of all the beautiful host who so kindly and warmly shared this space with us.

The property view is stunning and it feels so peaceful with a very relaxing vibe. The facilities were fantastic and bed super comfortable. My friend and I had dinner at the Three Ducks restaurant and we highly recommend it. Quality food and very friendly staff. If you have the opportunity, go to the lodge. You won't regret it.
