We had a wonderful stay here — by far the best place we experienced in Switzerland, and incredible value for the price. The apartment was incredibly comfortable, with everything you could possibly need, and you can really feel that every little detail has been thought through with care. A private parking spot right by the door was a lovely touch, and the location is fantastic: plenty of hiking trails on the doorstep, shops nearby, and the surrounding wine region is a great bonus. Sitting out on the terrace in the evening was the perfect way to wind down. Truly a special spot — we’d happily come back.

The apartment was very clean and well-equipped, and the host was very kind and helpful. The beds were comfortable, and we had a great time staying there as a large family. The house itself is located on a hill, where you can enjoy the peaceful rural atmosphere and sounds of Appenzell. We really enjoyed our stay!

Very lovely place! Lots of different animals, nice breakfast, and overall feeling of being at farm. Staff is very friendly, and the farm is in general just nice. It feels like the breakfast alone just pays off the money spend given the costs of a similar breakfast in the city.

A beautiful town surrounded by greenery, cozy accommodation, pleasant hosts. I was glad to stay here and would like to stay here again someday. The small apartment has everything you need. My child sadly noted that there is no TV - but for me this is only a plus. You can chat with your family, share impressions of beautiful Switzerland. The Internet is also good. Shower, kitchen, cleanliness, affordable price - everything is great! P.S. As a car enthusiast, I enjoyed looking at the vintage Citroen cars in the family workshop nearby...

The hotel is at beautiful place, wonderful views and opportunities to walk or bike. The owners were wonderful hosts, attentive, welcoming. The dinner was absolutely fabulous. Don't forget to use their bakery.

I liked the Italian reception/waitress. She was kind and accommodating.

Everything! A great, big, modern apartment with amazing views of the valley beneath. And the bed is the most comfortable we’ve ever had in any apartment while travelling. We would love to stay longer if we could!

Great staff, excellent facilities, great location

The place was clean and spacious- exactly as described. Everyone was also incredibly friendly. We felt very at home and our children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the farm. They particularly enjoyed helping collect the eggs, watching the daily cow milking and riding in the tractor! There were also lots of toys for them to play with. The place had everything we needed- We will definitely book again if in the area again!

Beautifully renovated, very clean and simple, but all you need. They don’t serve breakfast but there’s a lovely cafe around the corner which opens at 8am

The most "high-tech" hotel I've ever been to. Self check-in, self check-out, electric blinds at windows, sensor light in the bathroom... Very clean and comfortable.

Staying at the hotel felt like becoming part of it's rich history. It is a stunning place, a beautiful building with excellent customer service. I would highly recommend staying.

Modern spa hotel with everything modern, and of high quality. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The high-up location was difficult to reach with bicycles but offered a great view over Bodensee. The breakfast was great. The spa area was also great with a good-sized pool and multiple wellness rooms. The storage room for bikes was the best we experienced - in a disused hotel nearby offering a large spacious area and plenty of bike tools (which we didn't need, but could have been handy).

Probably the best value for money we got in Switzerland. It's amazing how much attention to details they have here, starting from various sockets, ending with smoothies for breakfast. The staff is shiny and welcoming. And oh this breakfast, finally lots of fruit, vegetables and warm meals. Free parking. I am impressed and cannot say anything negative at all. Widnau might not be that touristically attractive, but if you drive, I recommend staying here shortly to explore St. Gallen, Appenzel with its cheese farm, chocolarium and Appenzell village, Säntis mount and it's also a short ride to Luxembourg.

Friendly, traditional building, in a Swiss countryside with cow bells sounds around. Great restaurant. Good breakfast

The staff is very helpful and took special care. We were a large group with kids and they made sure we were comfortable and could have fun without disturbing other guests

Always the best, 3rd stay. Very very good restaurant. Staff always smiles and service is splendid. Spotless clean. Close to the station and they sell the guestcards for free train and cable cars up the mountains.
