I had a great experience staying at Pomelo hostel! It is located on a beautiful tropical farm with a lovely pool. The hosts, Nina and Camillo, are both very kind and accommodating. The hostel is just a ten-minute walk to Rio Ancho and a ten-minute moto ride to Palomino, where there are great restaurants and beautiful beaches. The property feels like a little paradise, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel. While it’s not directly on the beach—its only minor drawback—it more than makes up for it with its tranquil atmosphere and natural surroundings. The on-site restaurant is a highlight, offering delicious food, especially fresh fish and well-prepared steaks. The setting is another major draw—lush green vegetation, playful monkeys, and a variety of birds create a beautiful backdrop, perfect for outdoor activities like hiking. Another great aspect is the pricing, which is very competitive compared to accommodations in nearby towns. Reception was extremely attentive and answered every question we had in a timely and professional manner. People sometimes forget that the front desk isn’t their personal concierge, yet the staff still went above and beyond for us. Their patience and responsiveness made a huge difference in the quality of our stay. The restaurant exceeded our expectations — the food was truly top-notch. Fresh, flavorful, and easily some of the best meals we had during our time in Colombia. We also loved the presence of the rescued pups roaming the property. They added a warm, authentic charm to the environment and made the place feel even more welcoming.

The location was incredible. We had a private beach to ourselves. It’s a hidden gem they don’t have a lot of guests so you will really feel welcomed by all the staff and enjoy a private beach. The staff even came to our room to bring us food and drinks when we texted them. They also take very good care of the property we could see that they really cared about the place.
