Very comfortable hotel in this most interesting of pueblos. Welcoming and efficient staff, I felt very well looked after. Good breakfast too. Very helpful with finding a safe place to put my bicycle - always important for cyclists!

Mongui is a beautiful town and the paramo and surrounding pueblos are so unique and beautiful. We had a great time at sun Luis. We were made to feel welcome, the staff helped us with anything we required without any problems. They organised a great guide for the paramo (Juan) and were happy to prepare us some food for the hike. I have travelled through hundreds of towns in Colombia over the years , Mongui is my fav and san luis hotel is without doubt the best hotel I have stayed in. You can have a great looking hotel, but without great staff it’s nothing. 10/10 for this hotel.

Amazing view and service. Host was lovely

We (backpacker couple) spent two night in the hostel. The bedroom was spacious, clean and with big windows with good views. The bed was comfortable and with several blankets against the cold. There is a kitchen to use. The house is in the main road, very easy to find around 10’-15’ walking distance from the village center. Friendly staff.

The location, the chimney, the silence are all a plus.

I just loved everything about this place! First of all, the communication via WhatsApp, even before I got there., was excellent. Johan and his wife responded always promptly and made sure, all needs and wishes were taken care off. The place is a 20/25 min walking distance from the Pueblo, which I didn’t mind cause the way is really nice ( however a Mototaxi costs only 15000 ps). The cabin was very quiet, comfortable and cozy, great warm bedding, a heater for cold mornings ,a minibar with cold drinks and snacks, a kettle with teabags , an awesome terrace with an amazing view , and a fireplace for nights with wood ! Breakfast was served on the terrace( the night before you could order your choice ). I also fell in love with Wauwee, the dog, unfortunately can’t remember the other dogs name From the Glamping you can hike up to the cascada de la virgen., a nice waterfall within 1 hour. I ve travelled several times in Colombia , and this was definitely my favorite place. Muchas gracias pot todo , mi estadía con ustedes fue excelente !!
