We had a great time at Valhalla. The staff was pretty kind with us and they were very friendly and helpful with everything that we requested. I really recommend it to everyone who wants to stay in a cozy place, close to the beach and restaurants.

The location is great, close to everything in the center and in front of the beach. The place is always super clean, even with all the guests. Breakfast is home made, changes everyday and is delicious ! They can also arrange for tours & activities directly at the hostel.

Eric is a legend, sorts out trips, taxis and everything. Perfect location, right on the beach in a beautiful, relaxed town.

The room was nice,clean,little patio. I like all the space,you can seat upstairs,nice view,chairs,benches,hammocks. You can cook,store your food.There is plates,glaces.... Carlos the receptionist is very nice,answering all the questions. I love the location, very clothe to the beach and little shop.

It surprised me so much for such a positive way. The man in charge was super caring and helpful since a week before we arrived, then the room was perfectly made and clean with great air conditioner(which felt amazing is those burning hot days), beautiful toilet, surprisingly good internet. They even had a private speed boat that you could rent cheaper than those tours you could find in the village. Definitely will return

Had a truly relaxing and comfortable stay here, right on the beach and in the best spot in town. The hosts were wonderfully kind, friendly, and welcoming. Food and drinks were fantastic! I hope to return to this tranquil haven someday for sure.

Beautiful hostel—such a peaceful place. We spent five nights here completely relaxing. It’s very rustic, in the best way. We stayed in the dormitory, but it felt like having your own private space. Each bed is equipped with a mosquito net, personal light, and bedside table. Everything was very clean. Eddie was incredibly kind and helpful, giving us lots of information about tours and local contacts. There are lots of cute animals wandering around, and the artwork is stunning. You can cook in the well-equipped kitchen or get food there, which is really convenient. The journey to the hostel is part of the experience—you can arrive by canoe or walk through the mangroves, and I’d definitely recommend trying both! At 8pm the main lights go off, and you’ll wake up to birds singing, a cat purring, and maybe even a coconut falling. We had a very restful stay—thank you, Eddie

If you're looking for the manicured environment of a chain hotel, look away. But if you're ready to have a local experience, full of character and care, then you'll be pleased to be hosted by Zaira and her lovely dog, Caracola. Staying here for 3 nights was a total joy. The taxi driver from San Onofre asked why I didn't stay by the beach and, in hindsight, I'm so glad I didn't. Zaira's is just 6 minutes walking distance (super safe) from the town / beach area — which is lively but gets extremely noisy, especially on evenings. Being able to dip in and out of the joyful chaos of Rincón was a bliss. Zaira put every effort to make my stay comfortable. She welcomed me with freshly blitzed mango juice and made sure to have the perfect combo of fresh local fruit, arepas, coffee and eggs that I said would be my ideal breakfast. All decorated with wonderfully big leaves and bright flowers from her garden! The room I booked had a cute visiting toad that I refused to disturb, so I moved to the neighbouring one which was basically the same. They are all decorated in honour of a different artist (Van Gogh, Kahlo, Márquez...) and are sufficiently spacious to make em your temporary home. Zaira knows everyone in Rincón and will do her utmost to accommodate your needs. She booked my trip to Tintinpán, including a moto-taxi pickup that made my departure super easy. I enjoyed our chats about politics, love and life — which reveal Zaira's attentive, non-judgemental and optimistic outlook. Her psychology/teaching background and love for life shine through her conversation and beautiful 'project' of Los Versos. 10/10 experience. Highly recommended.

Peaceful location, family were lovely, pool was perfect at the end of a day's cycling and the outside space was a great place to unwind. I loved it here!
