The wooden houses, which won a design award, are practically furnished and tower over a hill with a beautiful view. The winery, a former state farm that has been renovated over many years, is also worth seeing. The friendly owner took us on a tour of the vineyards, production facilities and wine cellar. It is really exciting to see the effort and enthusiasm that goes into producing wine here, on one of the northernmost wineries. We were later able to taste the results on the balcony of our wooden house. Highly recommended.

We expected only a house on a tree, but got a warm welcoming, winery excursion, dinner and farm animals. Bio toilet was an interesting discovery for children. But regular shower and a toilet are available in a big house

The Spaahotel was built since our last visit to Tõrva in 2018 and a tremendous bonus for us, 5 of us travelling in a people carrier, including 2 teenagers, who enjoyed the use of the pool and the jacuzzis, while the older ones the saunas. Our grandchildren loved its closeness to the lake where they thrilled us jumping off the third and fourth boards. A great playground area and lovely walks in the woods. Breakfasts are plentiful and ably served by very pleasant and helpful reception. This hotel is within walking distance to where our relatives live, and a few minutes' drive to town centre. We loved our 3 night stay at Veemõnula Spaahotell in Tõrva!

Spacious enough even for 3 or 4 people. Probably the cleanest and at the same time the most "livable in" apartament I have booked. Had everything from enough utensils and dishes, to cooking facilities and even things like sugar and salt. And nothing felt "cheap" as is often the case with budget friendly choices. Bed was not overly soft and sheets were pleasant. Bathroom even had a heated floor. And it was on for our arrival! View was a good as you can get in a soviet built apartment block - trees and a grassy yard. Very nice to watch tits and other small city birds skipping about.
