Everything. Right from the welcoming host, to the cozy home and the perfect location. The host did have the heater warmed up so that we can feel cozy and comfortable with -27° C outside. The huge house came with all the facilities, toilet with a bidet. Shower with Sauna. Washing Machine and Dishwasher also available. The beds and sofas were very comfortable. The location is 20mins away from Rovaniemi and there's a frozen lake behind the house. The house also had some spare woolen socks in case if forgotten. Definitely would love to come back and stay again for a longer duration.

Opened in December 2012, this Finnish Lapland property is set in Ranua Wildlife Park, 5 minutes’ drive from central Ranua.

A magical place! Powerful place! Picturesque place. We've stayed with sister for one night only after visiting Ranua Zoo prior to be back to Rovaniemi. By the end of the stay we knew we want to be back here again. Very cosy house in Finnish countryside style with phenomenal fantastic surrounding - forest, endless snow fields, frozen river, Aurora visible right from the window. And complete tranquility and calm. Special atmosphere added by authentic fireplace, barbecue we did outside in -30 and of course private sauna. The host Juho is super friendly and kind. We've got clear instructions on check-in, fireplace and we were allowed to stay a bit longer for check-out. The house literally impressed us and gave so much more we could expect! We would love to back in summer too and very much grateful for this fairy-tale stay ❄️

An amazing place nestled in the forest with a lake available for all sorts of activities and to enjoy nature in its purity and simplicity. The sauna ritual and the lake baths were wonderful, the barbecue area is equipped with everything you need, and the little house is cozy and perfect. The bathroom is outside, surrounded by nature—essential. Collecting water from the well was also fun. Busy and happy. For lovers of peace and nature.

House was in a great location. Quite remote, which makes it even better. Perfect size for two families. Kitchen was equipped very well with all the necessary equipment. I think it would be a great place to visit at summer as well. Only one hour drive from Rovaniemi. Absolutely no problems with the owner or key handover in out of the check in time.
