We stayed in Prinus Country Retreat in September 2021 and it was the best decision we could have made - not only is the house really beautiful but Maria and her dad were the best hosts we could have wished for. Maria sent us recommendations for food and places to visit in Kreta before our trip and offered to help anywhere she could. When we arrived at the airport she helped us get a table at a lovely restaurant so that we'd have a great time even before check-in. She welcomed us at the house, showed us everything and continued to help during our stay. The house is built with great taste and love for details inside and out. It was a real treat that we can highly recommend and we will definitely come back!

This is definitely one of the best houses we have ever rented on vacation. It is a very nicely restored villa with great outdoor spaces and a beautiful pool. The property is in a very nice location with impressive views of the mountains. It is a very beautiful old house that has been restored and modernized with great attention to detail and very high quality. Already the way to the property is very noble and the flower beds around are lovingly designed. You are completely on your own, but still everything is easily accessible. The kitchen is very well and richly equipped, nothing is missing. The large terrace with a nicely designed pool, is covered with very beautiful natural stone. There are places to sunbathe and a sitting area with tables and benches made of natural stone. In addition, there is a large stone outdoor grill with space for preparation including sink. The villa is located a bit outside of Embrosneros, which is however easily accessible on foot (5-10 minutes). In the village there is a minimarket, a bakery and a good taverna with original Cretan dishes. Within about 30 minutes you can walk to a good winery and the newly designated Apokoronas hiking trail passes nearby. The owners were very accommodating and hospitable. They did everything to make the stay perfect.

Amazing place, beautiful villa! Totally private place, you can be yourself and spend your time the way you want! Heated pool, great view and most equipped place i have ever been. Wonderfull owners! I totally recommend!

The owners are helpful, hospitable and very nice people. They became a little bit family in the end. The house is made of stone and beautiful, and has everything you may need.
