Perfect location, direct on the lakeside and with a beautiful view to Mount Fuji. The Japanese style rooms were very nice to experience and the hotel provides all the necessaries amenities. The onsen where enjoyable and the tattoos were no problem.

Our one-night stay at 遊び庭-富士 was truly excellent. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and gave us the authentic Japanese atmosphere we were looking for. It’s a single-story home, which was ideal for our group, especially with elderly guests—everything was easily accessible and thoughtfully arranged. The beds were very comfortable, and the space was well-equipped, especially with toiletries and cooking utensils—everything we needed was already prepared. The location was quiet yet convenient, making it easy to explore and relax. We were also very impressed by the staff’s responsiveness—they were helpful, kind, and quick to reply whenever we had questions. Their support made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful, well-prepared stay with genuine Japanese charm.

Very spacious, 5/10 minutes walk from the station. The kitchen with pots, pans utensils fridge/freezer was useful We navigated the on line instructions and keypad for entry

This was the best backpackers I've stayed in. Wonderful staff, clean room, comfy bed, the best shower water pressure, opposite the train station and to top it off a wonderful restaurant below.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is close to the Kawaguchiko station, and it was thoroughly cleaned! It also had everything we needed. The communication with the host was very smooth, and they were very responsive and helpful. I would for sure come back to stay here next time I'm in Kawaguchiko. There's a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji from the living room just like it looks in the photos, but it's a pity that we couldn't roll up the blinders.

The view of Fuji-san from the dining/living room window was extraordinary. The whole place was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Very close to kawaguchiko station.

It’s in a good and quiet location and the rooms are very clean, small for a 5’8 Australian like myself but I was expecting to find this challenge a lot in Japan. Beds were comfortable and the Facilities were still quiet excellent. The free coffee and tea of a morning helped a lot to start my day

Spacious and have sauna area. Fit for 1 person, 2 might okay if partnered. 2room upstairs with tatami only. Living room is big and got kitchen with big japanese table. Toilet and shower room is separate at Ground level with the kitchen and living hall.

there was a sauna, 2 shower room (1 with bath tub) and microwave to heat all the convenient store food :) really comfortable and walking distance to many nice parks.

Staff were very helpful. Rooms very clean and bathroom/toilets/kitchen regularly cleaned.
