Convenient location to hike the Koyasan pilgrimage routes. Complimentary buffet breakfast was a bonus - a good variety and plenty of delicious food.

Very nice place to stay, great to have as a base if you want to visit Koyasan. The facilities and vibes are great, room was clean. Great place to meet others and make friends :) There’s a lot of retro games that you can play as well!

Very large home with good rooms. You feel like a local living there. Supermarkets are really close.

Before arriving, I must admit I felt a bit hesitant. After making the reservation, I came across many negative reviews, which made me unsure — especially because, based on the photos on Booking, the hotel looked extremely attractive and welcoming, which didn’t seem to match the ratings I was seeing. Even so, I decided to take the risk. I have been working in hotel management for many years, and I know that reviews should not always be taken at face value. Upon arrival, my perception completely changed. The service was simply wonderful — we were welcomed with a level of hospitality truly worthy of a traditional ryokan. This is an older-style ryokan, perfect for those looking to experience the atmosphere of Japan from decades ago. The hotel is located in a more remote area, surrounded by nature, offering incredible views and absolute tranquility. It is truly a wonderful place. From the moment you enter, the staff guides you and introduces the hotel in a very attentive and thoughtful way. On the first floor, there is a shop offering a variety of items, from food and souvenirs to clothing, as well as kimonos and yukatas available for guests to use during their stay. Also on the first floor, you will find a large and spacious dining area where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served (upon reservation). The male and female onsens are also located there and are excellent. In addition, there is the option to reserve private onsens, ideal for those seeking a more intimate experience — whether as a couple, with family, or even alone. All of them are spacious and offer beautiful views. There is also a game room with table tennis, massage chairs, and a very comfortable space to relax. Near the onsens, you will also find a quiet area with mattresses and pillows, perfect for taking a nap after a bath. Moving up to the rooms, the experience remains impressive. The rooms are extremely spacious, almost like small apartments.

I booked a single room, and it was clean and nicely decorated. The owners are very friendly and speak good English. I had originally said I would arrive at 6-7pm, but was delayed and arrived after 8pm. The owner kindly facilitated this for me but it is a small hotel so it is helpful to be accurate with your arrival time.

We travelled from Osaka to Kii-Hosokawa Station to do the Choishi Michi trail to Koyasan. We found the Yadori Onsen stay on Booking.com and saw they offer free pick up at Koyasan and drop-off to Hashimoto station. We absolutely loved our stay here! Everyone was really friendly, the food (we had the Karaage) and drinks (with local Jabara fruit)are delicious here and the cottages are very comfortable and spacious. And nothing beats a hot spring and good food after a long hike. A big recommendation!

This is a very cozy, clean, and comfortable apartment in a quiet area. It's not too close to the station, but the walk to the apartment through the area was very pleasant and easy. A great option for an overnight stay after a trip to Koya.

The hotel is conviniently located next to the Hashimoto train station. A really convinent stay if you are planning to visit koyasan withoit having to go back to namba station. In addition the town is quiet and calm. The room is spacious and comfortable. Will come back to stay in this room if we are coming back to japan.

The breakfast that the host provided was really good! The host was very kind, communicative, and easy to talk to as well. The place was clean and spacious, and we had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Kudonoie and would highly recommend it. It is conveniently located for taking the train up to Koyasan which we did on our second day. It is a lovely traditional Japanese-style house with comfortable futon beds, a beautiful view across the valley, a cosy kotatsu table and a deep Japanese-style bath. The kitchen was well equipped and our host, Kazu-san, had very kindly provided tea, coffee, milk, and fresh strawberries, as well as some tasty mochi and other bits. Kazu-san is an amazing host. He picked us up from the station three hours before the usual check-in time and gave us a fantastic tour of Kudoyama and the surrounding area including driving for half an hour to a beautiful temple in a valley, high up in the mountains. This was something so special we would not have seen without Kazu-san's help. He also took us to a lovely onsen, as well as to a supermarket, and a local okonomiyaki restaurant. On our last day, he drove us to Hashimoto station so that we didn't have to change trains. Such a kind and fun person. Our stay at Kudonoie was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.

It was very special to sleep at a station. It was very easy to self check-in. Also the communication was very good and they were super friendly! Would definitely stay here again.

Everything is great! Amazing place at a beautiful historical street near the river with mountain views. Shogo and Miu are spectacular hosts and they made our stay even more pleasant and easy.
