Location is convenient for Kaifu station and 2 local restaurants makes it’s possible for OHenro / pilgrims to stay 2 nights and head towards Muroto where there is less accommodation then head back via bus etc Staff fantastic - Tetsu san could not do more to make me comfortable (early check-in, dinner options and confirming bus timetables etc) Room had en-suite

The guesthouse was beautifully decorated with the owners personal treasures. It was done up so elegantly, with beautiful ceramics around the house, scented candles, subtle strings of jazz music in the corridor. We had requested the family meal for dinner on one night and the Japanese course menu on another. The food at this guesthouse was hands down the best we had in our month long stay in Japan. The Japanese course menu was sublime. The beaches nearby were an unexpected gem. We werent expecting to find the surf culture and van life in this tiny corner of Japan. Highly recommended, it was the highlight of our tour of Japan.

have been travelling for 4 months now and this is one of the best/coolest spots weve stayed. amazing local fresh food, great dinner on demand. Owners are super nice and fluent in English and the location is just amazinf in a secluded cove/beach with a really nice onsen facing the ocean!
