Take is very friendly. I needed help to get around the city, and he offered a ride to many places. The place is very calm, and during the night you can see the stars. Also the dinner was very traditional and delicious.

It was fun! The eating area had a piano that you could play or set as a pianola, guitars, and had a welcoming atmosphere for children of all ages. Rie is an exceptional host, ready to answer all our questions and gave great suggestions for places to visit. She introduced us to local people who were also incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic for trips to beautiful waterfalls, a volcano and other gorgeous parts of Kyushu. There was also a very nice restaurant nearby. We would definitely stay there again.

Breakfast and self-roasted coffee was excellent, Very tasteful guesthouse. Nice location in the countryside. Wish we could have stayed more than 1 night.

It was a perfect stay. The location is easy to find and provide parking spaces, all the rooms were clean with enough spaces, my kids enjoy the kids play room and toys in the blue cottage. It is a traditional house with the nicest host. Rie will make sure you have a great stay and get to know the town. We got a trampoline lesson and guided tour in the local tea manufacture. Mamihara is rural Japan you have to experience. Great base for trips to Aso, Takechiho, tsujun bridge and more.

Everything was good quality… down to the tea towels. The old store room was well converted with double glazed windows and thoughtful features. The communication with the owner was excellent. We were a little late arriving but the owner met us to show us around. We loved sitting outside looking at the night sky and stars in the evening. The shower was fabulous and the beds were comfy and warm.
