The accommodation was really nice! Also the owner is such a inspiring woman! She does amazing things to the community! Really recommend staying here! Two kids showed us the villages and beautiful beach which was amazing too!

Had a great time here! Great location right on the beach. Super friendly staff, really good food, laid back feel… I just really enjoyed being here. Rooms are sorta basic and the odd power outage but it goes with the territory… would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Located in Monkey Bay, Kulenga Village provides free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a restaurant and a bar. There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries.

Escape the touristy pretend Malawi and enter the village lake life experience and surround yourself with the real happy heart of Africa community The location is a perfect balance of village life and lake life, an easy walk through the local community to reach the stunning lake or the calm relaxed street with a few shops and restaurants The accommodation whilst basic covers everything you need to enjoy your chilled stay however long (I stayed for 10 nights) The ‘staff’ are excellent and will soon become your friends, there is a great little bar and the food is well prepared and very tasty If you’re looking for a laid back stay that’s within easy reach of the over touristy places like Cape Maclear but also want peace and quiet I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here

I had the most relaxing stay at Norman Carr Cottage. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the private beach is idyllic. Leonie made me feel at home from the second I arrived. Both Taffy and Leonie are wonderful hosts and lovely to chat to. I look forward to coming again next time I’m in Malawi!
