Small room with all necessary amenities. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom is spacious. The personnel is top. Enough parking place for the car. Very splendid surroundings. Coffee and tea in the room. The breakfast (this time) was a box with food provided in the evening for tomorrow. But enough tasty and variable. I had a night just over the restaurant. The restaurant is really cool with the appropriate price. My dinner was tasty and not expensive.

Excellent and comfortable property. Compact, but not cramped at all. Well equiped. As we stayed in November/December: the heating functions very well, this property is very much ok for winter. Easy and pleasant communication with the host. Really great location: central area of Doorn within easy reach. Still, as it sits at the edge of a huge green area, all is quiet.

This cottage in a (large, beautiful) garden was immensely cozy. We spent far too much time lounging in front of the fireplace watching the flames and the birds outside of the window. We were even lucky to have snow! The bed was exactly as we prefer it: soft but not overly so. The shower had the perfect amount of water pressure too. Really, we felt spoilt. Talking about spoilt, our host Werner was an absolute gentleman and took great care of us. For breakfast we were treated to fresh buns from the local bakery, eggs, fruit, ham, cheese and marmalade. Probably not served all year, but we also got Christmas Stol! Final note, while offered various beverages, Werner upon hearing we preferred tea, surprised us with a different tea each morning - wonderful!

The originality, privacy, nature

It was in a lovely quiet location and only a short distance from the Oranjerie Landgoed Sandenburg where our son got married. The local town, restaurants and bus stops were in walking and cycling distance to the farmhouse.

A really nice place, the host welcomed us and showed us how everything worked. Everything was well maintained, neat and clean. There was sparkling water in the fridge, and plenty of beans in the coffee machine. Very quiet area, nice parking on private property. Can really be recommended for 2-3 people.

I loved everything about it! Minimalist style, sustainable design, regionally sourced breakfast, amazing view from the window, looking directly into the forest. So quiet and peaceful. I wish I would have stayed longer! Maybe not recommended to people who need privacy in the bathroom, as there is no door or total separation from the sleeping area.

Accomodation was warm and friendly. Handy if needed to unwind and have a few drinks.

Compact but cosy comfortable room with some extra nice touches e.g. a proper coffee machine. The owner was very communicative beforehand to ensure the check-in would be hassle free.

Surroundings were beautiful and it was very calm.

We liked absolutely everything about Rest & Rust!!! The apartment was comfortable and well-equipped; the rural location was really peaceful and quiet but also close to many sites of interest including Utrecht (8 minutes by train); and, Carola and Sjoerd were wonderful hosts who made sure our stay was most enjoyable. We highly recommend this property!!!

Just everything - the owner was lovely, very friendly and welcoming, the place was super cozy with great attention to detail, breakfast was yummy, and the location was incredible - you’re surrounded by forest and birdsong.
