Hotels with Parking in Schiphorst

We absolutely loved this beautiful, historic family home. It was in walking distance to Meppel or biking distance to Staphorst. Hans was a fantastic host who made sure we were comfortable. I loved everything about this place, especially once I realized it was indicative of old Dutch farmhouses from days gone by. There were even storks nearby to keep us busy bird watching.

Peaceful and private location, with clear signage outside the property making it easy to find. The room is spacious and well-equipped, with a reliable air conditioning and comfortable bed. The mini oven is convenient for warming up meals, though an oven-safe dish would be a useful addition to the kitchenware. Just a short drive from Meppel, we highly recommend this property.

A carefully thought out stylish studio containing everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Well equipped kitchenette with mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine as mentioned but also a little oven and egg cooker to make freshly baked bread and boiled eggs for breakfast! Breakfast was generously portioned and al left in the fridge ready for us to have as we wanted in the morning. Very large and comfortable bed and great shower. Lots of places to go for long walks nearby and if you like wine make sure you email the owners in advance to book in for a wine tasting while you're there!

Everything was wonderful. The studio was beautiful, spotlessly clean, spacious and decorated with great taste. I had plenty of privacy, convenient parking directly in front and a lovely terrace where I could eat, relax and enjoy the sunshine with my dogs. The hosts were exceptionally kind, thoughtful and genuinely pet-friendly. Knowing that I was arriving with my dogs, they had prepared a small gate to keep them safely away from the road. They also made me a delicious vegan breakfast, delivered through the charming little private service door without disturbing me. I had experienced a very stressful situation during the day, so returning to this peaceful place and feeling safe, comfortable and cared for meant more to me than they probably realized. They even contacted me afterwards to ask how my day had gone. Their warmth and kindness made my stay truly special. This wonderful couple alone would be a reason for me to return to Giethoorn.

Centrale locatie, gratis en veilig parkeren, geweldig ontbijt. Alles perfect!

Very convenient location. It was comfortable, but a little cramped with 4 of us sharing the bedroom! All in all good though as we were out every day. Roel was very accommodating and friendly, we really hope we didn’t disturb him when we left at 6am…
