Staying at Solar de Vila Meã was a beautiful experience from start to finish. The first thing that struck me was the setting — it’s absolutely stunning. Surrounded by vineyards and peaceful countryside, the entire property feels like a hidden retreat. Every view, whether from the room, the pool, or the garden, looked like a painting. There’s a real sense of calm and space here that’s hard to describe but easy to fall in love with. The restaurant, Barro, completely exceeded expectations. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely proud of what they serve, which made the whole experience even more special. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty with exceptional food and a sense of quiet luxury, I couldn’t recommend Solar de Vila Meã more highly.

The whole property was thoughtfully presented and comfortable. The bed. was particularly good and it has a fantastic kitchen with a Wood Fire. The kitchen has all the Tools and Equipment you could possibly Need. Our host André was charmimg and helpful nothing was too much trouble.

The apartment was absolutely fantastic. It has a private pool, two terraces, heaps of space and is luxuriously appointed. Three bathrooms, designer, luxury fittings through out and personal attention from Luis. Possibly the best accommodation I have experienced in the past 20 years of travel.
