Great ambiance and historic detail. Terrific location in the historic town, close to shops and good restaurants. Very comfortable room and very pretty central sitting area. Excellent staff, especially Louis who took the time to tell us about the town and surrounding area, and was a helpful guide for restaurants.

Really wonderful hosts. The covered terrace area is a great place to sit out and relax and they have thought of everything you may need during your stay. The town of Serta is close by and has everything, supermarkets, nice restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the location, it is a lovely spot.

A beautiful setting. Idyllic and a wonderful getaway in the midsts of authentic portugal. The welcome was so friendly and though the lady with the key didnt speak English (and my Portuguese is limited) she couldn't be more kind and even brought us fruit from her garden. We felt so at home. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds very comfy. The living room/ kitchen is also a good size with everything you need for a stay. The shower was a lovely power shower & I appreciated the solar powered hot water. Be careful it is very hot !!! The house wasnt though and despite no air conditioning even in temperatures of 38 degrees the house was still cool and airy. Serta is a lovely town with restaurant's and bars and a beautiful river to enjoy. You definitely need a car and if you want to branch out to visit places you need to be prepared for a drive but the roads are empty and the tolls (if you want to go the direct route) are very reasonable. An fantastic stay in a lovely house. Can't recommend it enough.
