Good location, near to ocean and park. Several stores and cafes nearby.

The hotel is far from the Hilo city centre, it is recommended to have a car or a taxi. There is one restaurant just next to the hotel and some other quite near it, so if you don't really plan to stay in Hilo centre, think about this hotel. The rooms are very nice, had everything we needed, comfy beds, fridge, we were in a refurbished one, without a TV but it did not bother us and we were warned about it by the staff when checking in. Speaking about the staff, super friendly, super nice and helpful. Outside of the room was a small garden, we enjoyed our own breakfast each morning sitting right next to it. We also rented bikes - super easy. We enjoyed the 24h free coffee (best in my opinion in Big Island), we less enjoyed the one free kombucha but i's just not our taste. The airport is near but we did not noticed much of the noise, especially in the evening.

we stayed at a ocean front suite room. the ocean view seen from the windows facing north and east was womderful. the hotel staffs are kind. we are completely satisfied with their warm hospitality.

We chose this place for our family trip to the Big Island after a lot of online research — and it didn’t disappoint. As someone who also runs two hotels in Los Angeles, I’d like to share a few thoughts from a fellow hospitality professional: Fantastic location! Right in the heart of Hilo’s main commercial street. The farmers market is next door, with fresh fruits and veggies, and on weekends, a fun local market with Hawaii-themed goods. Smooth contactless check-in. I booked through Booking.com, and the host messaged me before arrival with the front gate code, room number, room code, and all the check-in details — very efficient. However, guests unfamiliar with this process might feel confused upon arrival if they don’t realize the info is in their inbox or messages. Charming old two-story building. The exterior is nice, with a gravel parking lot behind the property. But what really stood out was the interior design — full of warmth, color, and personality. The wall decor, vintage photos, and little touches give the whole place a cozy, homey vibe. There’s a tiny on-site restaurant with just two tables on the ground floor, serving special breakfast items. Reviews say it’s amazing and must be booked in advance. I stayed for two nights and only saw it open once — clearly a local favorite! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try it due to our tight travel schedule. Room 5 was enormous! We booked a queen room, but the beds were so spacious they felt like kings. The linens were top-quality — clean, soft, and super comfortable. Thoughtful details like bedside outlets with USB ports made things very convenient. Large bathroom with separate shower area, soft fluffy towels, and excellent-quality toiletries — clearly chosen with care. These kinds of details speak volumes about the host’s hospitality. The room included local Hawaiian coffee — a great touch! One small suggestion: consider providing reusable cutlery for guests who may be staying longer or prefer dining

Felt just like home. Surrounded by luxuriant plants, the place was quiet, spacious, neat. Equipped with all type of comfort. I liked the mild lighting in the various corners of the house, night and day. The shared kitchen and living room was bright and beautifully furnished. Diana was the nicest host: gave clear instructions and tips on how to get around (having a car is fairly mandatory). Super recommended! Grazie!

Continental breakfast was great. Location not far from Hilo. Host was easy to communicate with, very friendly and helpful, and was often on the premises.

The bed was super comfortable and the backyard was very mellow to hang out in at the end of the day. We also loved the chirping frogs. Breakfast was bagels with cream cheese, granola and yogurt, coffee and fresh fruit.

The cabins are very cosy. The surrouding is wonderful, however there are many frogs calling during the night. Host was very friendly. Kitchen in the main building is well equipped.

We stayed here last year for a few days and liked it so much we booked for a week this year. Very comfortable to return to in the evenings. We could fix our breakfast or could heat up something simple in the eveningif we wanted to. This is a small cottage in a beautiful garden. The little peepers were loud at night but We like that. There are earplugs if you don’t like it. Jean was very welcoming and pleasant to talk to. Would definitely stay here again

This really is a gem of a place. The fruit breakfast in a wonderful garden with home baking is a great start to the day. The hosts will offer advice and help on what to see or where to go. There are guide books and lists of local restaurants to hand as well. The rooms are charming with attentive detail to comfort and decor. You can walk to Rainbow Falls if you are feeling energetic or take a slow stroll to Boiling Pots. There is space to park hire cars off road.

The house is very clean and beautiful, very cozy! The kichen is big and brand new, all the cooking staff are so clean!!!! You can feel that the owner tries hard to accommodate the guests well. The loacation is excellent, It is only 2.8 miles from Hilo airport, less tnan 10 minutes drive. Walmart is just around the corner and some other supermarks and some local stores. we are very lucky to find such a nice place to stay to visit hawaii . Thanks and salute to the owner!

The location and community members are so lovely! If you are ok with more of a glamping experience you will have a great time here! Don't miss out on the breakfast at the Inn overlooking the waterfall!

Beautiful property with character, comfortable rooms. Everell and Cheryl were very nice and helpful. Cheryl helped us dry our things after we experienced a storm on our way to Hilo and Everell cooked an amazing breakfast for us in the morning. Highly recommend this place!

It's close to the airport and it's convenient to eat and shop.

Quiet location close to Hilo center and coast. Absolutely amazing facilities in the house.

Absolutely amazing location, so much space for the little ones to run around and could just walk across the street to the protected pools. Beautiful verandah and view to enjoy mornings and naps.

The location and view was Exceptional! The host was very communicable with the whole checkin/arrival process. The house and room was very clean and quite. Being high up on the hill, we had a very amazing view of the sunrise over the ocean.

It was amazingly clean and quiet. We slept really well. Using swimming pool was nice. Good communication with the host. No problems to cook food too.
