This is definitely a place I’d be happy to return to and recommend to my friends. Before booking, I read a lot of mixed comments, but once we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and comfortable everything was. Of course, this is not a 5-star hotel – and it doesn’t claim to be. It’s more like a shared house for people who love traveling and are looking for something simple yet cozy. We stayed in the Back House, and everything was great. The bathroom and toilet were spotless, with a reliable supply of hot and cold water, plus fresh towels and toilet paper. The kitchen and living room were spacious, with a big fridge and freezer – everyone could find a comfortable spot to relax. Our room was small but perfectly fine for a 5-night stay. The bed linen was fresh and clean, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. I especially loved spending evenings on the terrace with a glass of wine. After 9 pm, it was always very quiet and peaceful. The location is just perfect – the beach is right across the road, and shops and food trucks are only a 5-minute walk away. The reception also provides everything you might need for the beach. Parking space is plentiful, and the staff are super friendly. A special thank you to Hope at the reception – she was very polite and helpful – and also to the lovely owner (sorry I forgot her name!). So friends, if you’re looking for a simple but great place to stay without spending a fortune, don’t hesitate – just book it!

This property is exactly as advertised and what other people on the reviews are saying. We were happy and comfortable during our stay. The place was clean and had everything we needed. I’ve stayed at other properties in Hawaii where we had issues with roaches (which you would expect since you’re in Hawaii after all but not with this one. It was thoroughly cleaned. It also felt really safe with the gate (the area is also already safe too). The location is also great if you prefer to be at North Shore and there are food trucks, foodland, and beaches within walking distance. Great property!

Loved how open, clean, spacious, and equipped the house was. The location was perfect as it was close to excellent beaches (including Waimea Bay) and restaurants and shopping in Haleiwa. The private pool and gazebo was an additional treat where we spent time in the mornings and evenings swimming under the stars.

Beautiful views! The home was very comfortable, clean, and updated. You can’t beat the location. Right on the ocean, close to food & shopping. Rocky coast from property (which we loved) but short easy walk to sandy beach. Could’ve sat on the porch for days. Some gecko friends in the house, and several chickens outside, but we enjoyed all of them. Lots of beach equipment too. We had a wonderful stay (wish we could’ve stayed longer).

Spacious and clean with great views. Easy walking to the beach and nearby restaurants. Property has super friendly security staff. Tennis courts, pickle ball, basketball, pools. Walking distance to the beach. I don’t play golf but it’s right there too. Owners very communicative. Loved it all.

Great location, good vibes, on site parking. The bungalow has a great terrace. The room was tiny but it was ok. Surprisingly quiet for a backpackers. The nearest beach was right across the street. I wish I could've stayed longer.

Straight across from the beach, foodland on the next corner, bathroom/ kitchen were far from new but did the job and could easily cook meals with the provided utensils. Beds/ lounge pretty comfortable! Never had an issue finding a car park spot on site. Prime spot, cool to be around other travellers, super friendly easy-going staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Location, comfortable clean beds, free parking, had everything we needed, Foodland close by was great. Not fancy, but we ate well, slept well, enjoyed Sharks Cove snorkeling and swam around fish/turtles (walking distance), saw best sunsets and enjoyed local hospitality! Owners/staff very friendly, bring some Tim Hortons coffee if visiting from Canada for the staff.

It was an amazing and comfy stay, a perfect sanctuary. Bernie was helpful and thoughtful all the time. The garden was wonderful and the people there were all very nice. Very big parking place and wonderful beach nearby.
