breakfast was fine. We especially enjoyed the bar and lounge and the great conversation with the manager and other patrons. Lots of great information about the area and the local history.

The location is, as expected, a little remote. You are in a 2-bedroom separate apartment attached to the main farmhouse. Fields behind and in front, across the road. Check-in was easy with a code for the door, we parked right outside the door. We rated our hosts highly, as the communication was excellent, but we did not meet them. They gave us complete privacy. There was a comfy, good-sized living room. The bed was awesomely comfortable. The small kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pans, cutlery, etc, but we only availed ourselves of the pod coffee machine and the complimentary pastries and cookies. Shower was great, bathroom and the whole place super clean. It was around 32°F (0 °C), and it snowed when we were there. The heating was more than up to the task and we were snug and warm. overall teh feel of the place could be described as very cozy. Although it is not in a town the lovely town of Spring Green is only a 5 minute drive. The "Reunion Family BBQ" was lovely. In an old bank building with a special booth in the vault and a bar restyled from the original teller windows. The food was excellent. Across the road was Slowpoke Lounge & Cabaret, which featured an accomplished Spanish and jazz guitarist that night. Our main reason for staying was to visit "House on the Rock" a truly bizarre and fun experience, and Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright's home. House on the Rock is 20 minutes by car. Taliesin 15 minutes. They are in the same direction. So we arrived at House on the Rock when they opened at 9am. That took 4 hours to see! Then we drove 5 minutes to Taliesin and had a very nice lunch in the visitors center before joining a 2 hour guided tour.

Clean and the swimming pool with hot tub were perfect for the children. Very quiet too despite being full of family. Great location by car, close to Dodgeville, house on the rock, Taliesin.

Wonderful stay!! The room and lobby were spotless and smelled nice and every single person we interacted with at this hotel was SO NICE :) They even texted me the morning of my booking to reach out which was super thoughtful. Best western is nicer than americinn in town. Americinn is not good and clean. We will never stay in Americinn by Wyndham. Best western are so nice and clean. Front desk person was knowledgeable and nice. Next time we're in Dodgeville we'll be sure to stay in Best Western again! Our room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable (soft sheets and supportive pillows). I also appreciated the hot shower and soap/shampoo/lotion. The complimentary breakfast was lovely, they even had vegan options (soy milk, oatmeal, peanut butter, and fruit) as well as the classic biscuits, eggs and gravy which suited everyone. I appreciate what a relaxing stay we had. I recommend to everyone stay in Best western dodgeville inn and suites.

Clean well stocked room. quiet surroundings. Good value.

Fantastic decor (including an aircraft on the front lawn). A central fireplace made from a cheese VAT circled with barber chairs in the downstairs lounge. Games. Piano. Sports room. Pool. Lovely gardens to stroll around. Styled as an old barn. But the main plus has to be the staff who went out of their way to make the stay great. I didn't get a chance to see the "themed" rooms. Nearby attraction "the house on the rock" was one of the best places I have ever visited.
