The location on the lake was idyllic with the owner providing canoes and paddleboats to get on the water, aswell as loungers at the waters edge. Although initially apprehensive about the strict short "breakfast is served from 8 to 9" policy, we ended up actually enjoying the fact that all guests were seated together around large tables at the same time such that everyone ended up talking and interacting together - a real get away from constant "phone and tablet silence". Breakfast interaction meant guests knew each other in the evenings and chatted in the lovely communal living rooms, aided by bowls of popcorn appearing if people were around.

This Boscawen motel features free Wi-Fi and rooms that offer a microwave and refrigerator. McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is 10 miles away.

The location was fit for our purpose. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (although new pillows wouldn’t hurt! - we used our own!)

Wonderful place surrounded by nature, clean and quiet, close distance from the lake, forests, trails and pub / restaurants, free parking. I truly regret I couldn't stay there longer, it was the best place I've visited during my 10 days trip around US East Coast.
