First of all, the location is very exclusive, and the view is stunning. You could spend your vacation there at any time of the year and you would always be guaranteed a very nice atmosphere since the room is basically absorbed by the stunning view with this bigterrace. So even in winter a must go. Also, it is very clean and very comfortable. Lastly, the owners Ray and his wife are just super friendly and very supportive hosts. I really enjoyed the restaurant recommendations and the overall atmosphere in their beautiful home. They have a deal with a restaurant at the beach which you can go to by foot and 10-15 minutes which is a very nice routine in the morning. They recommend to have a car which I had not and I didn’t regret that. It’s like an extra fun activity to go down the stairs with your swimming shorts. Have a good swim in the morning and then have breakfast for example, waffles or fish while listening to the sound of the waves and later go back up to your apartment.

Awesome little getaway with a great view just to kick back and relax not far from the beach and everything you need literally a walk away. Awesome hosts if you need to know anything just give them a shout.

With not too much rooms in the accommodation (6) and having a professional staff and being comfortable place it gives you a feeling of being at home and being a real guest instead of a number. The owner has a little chat with you if you want and she is happy to tell you about the nicest restaurants or walking routes close by.

Lovely spacious apartment with amazing views. Linda was helpful and friendly and flexible allowing us to check in early giving us another full day of exploring. We walked down to the beach and back but it is hilly on the return so an uber advised. Lovely meals at the beach front restaurant. Perfect for us as walking distance to the local parkrun. Incredible value for money! Definitely recommended for a few days R&R. Might suit those with cars if not fit and active but Ubers plentiful and cheap.

Sunshine Cottage is a lovely place to stay in the area of Fish Hoek, and I would definitely recommend it. Very clean, comfortable, private, and spacious enough for two people. Great facilities and within walking distance to the beach. The place is quiet and has a supermarket (Spar) not far from. Private parking and excellent wifi. Comfortable bed and a great shower! Enjoyed the coffee, milk, and the biscuits that the hosts left for us too :-)

Beautiful property well set up with everything we needed. Bedroom seperate to kitchen and living area. Heater worked well warming whole apartment, extra blankets and towels, easy access to clothes line, extra hot water in shower. Lovely outdoor area with barbecue ready to use, large table and seating area. Gated parking on site. Friendly owners are very welcoming, and ready to help out in any way.

Spacious, clean, beautiful and modern. A very homely feel and the property is within a 2 minute walk from the beach, restaurants and shops! With a balcony looking out at beautiful mountains. The apartment had everything you could need and more!

Location and views of the bay.

I had a wonderful stay here and truly wish I could have stayed longer—three days was simply not enough. The place is beautifully arranged and very thoughtful in every detail. It has everything you could need: a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, a dining area, and a clean, well-designed bathroom. Everything was included, and the hospitality made the stay even more special. Although I had a very tight schedule every day and didn’t have much time to slow down, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the surrounding nature. From the books in the house, you can tell the owners are thoughtful, curious, and enjoy learning—it adds a very personal and inspiring touch to the place. The location is also excellent: close to Cape Point, Table Mountain, and the CBD, making it a perfect base for exploring Cape Town. I would definitely recommend staying longer if possible. If I could rate this place, I would give it more than 10—but since that’s not possible, please consider this an “over 10” rating. Highly recommended!
