I’d like to thank the waiter, Aidos, who was always there to help us with whatever we needed. I’d also like to thank the woman at the front desk, who was always so understanding. We agreed on a €100 cash deposit. We had no trouble staying with our two children, ages 5 and 2; I thought we’d be asked to pay extra, but that didn’t happen. Everything was just great.

I had a wonderful stay at Tiancheng Youth Hostel in Urumqi. The location is convenient — close to public transport and within easy reach of local markets and sights. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully furnished; my bed was cozy and the shared bathroom facilities were well-maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke enough English to make check-in and planning easy — they gave great local tips and helped arrange transport. The common areas have a warm, social atmosphere with plenty of seating and a small kitchen for self-catering. Wi‑Fi was reliable and the price was excellent for the quality. I especially appreciated the welcoming vibe and the chance to meet fellow travelers. Highly recommend Tiancheng Youth Hostel for budget travelers looking for a clean, friendly base in Urumqi.

The room is nicely colored with contemporary designs. It is equipped with smart room controls for the curtains and lights plus the room is spacious. Love the long mirror and the sink design. The front desk staff are worth mentioning especially one particular staff by the name of Lucy Sun. Despite the language barrier, she was extremely helpful and patience to help us with information. We could feel the warmth and the superb customer service. There is a washing machine room where they provide big commercial size washing and dryer machine for free. The location is 15 minutes taxi drive to the underground shopping mall where you could get nice and cheaper winter jackets.
