This might have be my very favorite hotel in Colombia. Absolutely everything was perfect, from the breakfast to the staff to the room... just awesome!

This is a brand new hotel, it opened in early 2025. The WiFi is fast, the rooms are clean, the shower has great pressure, and the breakfast is good. The bed is comfy, and the AC works well. My room had a desk I could work at, but they also have a small conference room/breakfast area you can use. It's new, small, and low-key. I like it.

Everything! Small and homely - only 4 inside/outside rooms yet amenities and services better than many larger hotels. Fernando and Tomas were fantastic and attended to guests’ every need. So nice to return “home” after a hot days exploration to be offered a beautifully prepared natural juice, or after walking home from dining out to have a nightcap and a chat before retiring. A stunning place with fabulous views, great architecture and outdoor showers to the rooms, peace and quiet and wonderful breakfasts. Lots of local birds. Very clean and comfortable. A real gem.

Hotel Palais Barichara has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Barichara. There is a restaurant serving Latin American cuisine, and free private parking is available.

We have stayed in about 12 hotels whilst in Colombia and this is by far the best. Glorious location, newly built or refurbished, fluffy towels, big rooms, quality breakfast and plumbing that WORKS!! Beautiful place with great hospitality. Ma Luisa, Silvia and Jorge made our stay incredible. The homemade food was delicious. The view of Chicamocha canyon is outstanding and the birds flying around is a plus. We will definitely come back!
