Location! This is the hotel to stay if the objective is to visit the Casbah. By definition it’s an old neighbourhood, a bit run down, but that’s the charm: it’s noisy, authentic and we felt safe. The hotel is an old French building, 100+ yrs old, fully renovated with the most helpful staff we met in Algeria: need to call abroad, get a doctor, a printout or a taxi - it gets done! There is parking in front of the hotel though we preferred a car park ca 100m away

Amazing hotel, right in the heart of the city, easy parking and great hosts (showed us round, helped us find sim cards, showed us where to exchange money, good places to eat and gave us plenty of tips for the rest of our week in Algeria) 10/10 recommended if staying in Algiers!
