A recently renovated apartment, Centro Macas offers accommodation in Macas. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Many fairly priced restaurants around, and if you want to splurge, there are some upper-market cafes a short walking distance also. And as a cherry on the cake, there are some great views of a nearby, frequently erupting volcano Rosa, the host, goes above and beyond making sure you feel welcome, comfortable, and are armed with enough knowledge to get the most out of her city. I originally stayed here as a stop over town to break up my travels. But ended up staying a little longer because I enjoyed it so much.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Nice lodge about ten minutes stroll down a well lit road from the town square. Off street parking and much needed air con was appreciated. The property is on a river, and has a terrace where you can sit and enjoy the views. Our room was comfortable and spacious and fairly quiet - we were at the front of the building so inevitably there was some road noise, but nothing too bad. The rooms overlooking the river are away from the road. There is a communal kitchen if you want to cook (or make coffee). The owner organised a river trip for us with a very good guide, which was a big help.
