Our room was simple but cosy and we only slept in it as there is a glorious mess room on the first floor. Here you can use the kitchen to prep your own food but we opted for the three course evening dinner at for $7.50 As a vegan with food intolerances, I'm always worried, but I felt very confident that my needs would be met. They didn't mind me bringing vegan extras to breakfast, like oat milk, spread, hummus, etc. At night a wood fire is lit which smells amazing and there are comfy sofas to curl up on. We used the taxi service to and from the lodge and the price was reasonable and service prompt. We also had a great tour to Lago Limpiopunga. The WiFi was exceptional and my husband and I were able to run our business from 4,000 miles away. We're in our sixties and were by far the eldest guests but felt very much at home. I'm afraid Cotopaxi didn't behave and was covered in cloud, but hey, ho, such is the coyness of volcanoes.

To spend the evening next to the fireplace is amazing.

There is a children's playground and a barbecue at this property and guests can go cycling nearby. Cool historical building they have restored into a cozy hotel close to Cotopaxi. We were a family of 6 and there were swings in the yard, animals to see, and ample room to throw a frisbee in the yard. Inside were cozy fires for games and chats. The staff was excellent. They were attentive, kind, so helpful and great conversationalists. We had a great Horseback ride in Cotopaxi at Tambopaxi. We would highly recommend to others. The breakfast was filling and great! And the dinners house made and delicious. You will enjoy this location!
