It's one of my nicest accommodations on my whole 5 month trip in South America so far. You can totally relax after a long day of hiking. The common areas are very welcoming. You have free tea and coffee the whole day, and also free yoga classes. And for a small fee you can use the wellness area. The food is very delicious. To spend the evening next to the fireplace is amazing.

We arrived at dusk so weren’t able to fully appreciate the environment. when i woke the next morning and saw the view from our window, I literally wept. Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were yummy and ample. The staff went above and beyond. so very kind and welcoming We liked El Vaquero so much, we stayed an extra night. If you can, go on a horse outing with local farmer, Umberto Ortega. An extensive tour with a kind man. Definitely one of the top three experiences during our two months in Ecuador.

Breakfast and dinner were delicious (especially dinner cooked by the owner Adrien 👌🏻). Adrien organised us transport for Cotopaxi, Quilotoa and Saquisilí and we enjoyed everything a lot. Thank you! We definitely recommend this place and would have loved to stay there even a bit longer.
