Zzz Malang is hands down the best budget-friendly hostel in town. The dorm room was spacious and had good ventilation. The bunk beds were comfortable, and each bed had its own power socket and towel. The bathrooms were spotless and fully stocked with essentials. The hostel is in a quiet area, but a 10-minute Grab ride takes you to the train station. Lila was very welcoming and helped me book transport to Yogyakarta. Highly recommended for backpackers looking for comfort without breaking the bank!

I had an amazing stay at Good Feeling the staff were super friendly, and the hostel had a great vibe. The Ijen Crater tour was incredible, with stunning views and a well organized trip. Highly recommend it!

Objekat Zzz Ijen Hostel, koji se nalazi u gradu Banyuwangi, na 15 km od znamenitosti Watu Dodol, nudi smeštaj sa vrtom, besplatnim privatnim parkingom i terasom. I loved basically everything about this property! Great location, very clean, comfy room with aircon, well priced, extremely friendly and helpful staff. You can buy food/snacks for a reasonable price and they have free coffee and tea as well as hot and cold filtered water. Has a nice little balcony where you can watch the rain. Not incredibly social, but it’s also off season so I can’t imagine there would be anywhere more social in the area to be honest. Was clear about the fact that the blue fire at Ijen would not be available the days we were there and the staff was not pushy at all about buying tours, just very helpful. Honestly one of the best price to experience ratios I’ve ever gotten at a hostel, and the perfect place to chill or prepare for a hike. Also one of the cutest cats I’ve ever seen if my life lives here, she is friendly and very funny.

The staff are lovely and friendly. The homestay is quiet which is nice. It’s also easy to organise the bromo hike and other tours from here. Nice quiet location not too far from town, a quick grab ride. The rooms were very clean and the shower is nice and hot with great water pressure.

I loved this little hostel in Banyuwangi, it was spotlessly clean, very quiet, the beds were so comfortable, the showers were amazing, the family who own the hostel live next door and are such kind helpful people. The free breakfast included is so delicious, way better than a lot of the free breakfasts other hostels include. This is the perfect spot to stay in Banyuwangi if you want to explore the surrounding area. I did the Ijen tour through the hostel and ended up doing it with a small group and a really great guide so would 100% recommend.

Warm welcome from Johan and his nephew, the room was clean and already fresh with the AC. The place felt like home and we could also use the kitchen. The breakfast was very good with plenty of food and fruits. The location is perfect, in a calm neighborhood, close to the city center. We also plan the visit to Ijen with Johan and everything went smoothly ! Thanks for everything, it was a pleasure to meet you :)
