He even provided a room for our driver since we arrived much later than expected due to the long line of vehicles waiting to get on the ferry from Parapat to Samosir. Our stay here was just wonderful. The chalet ıs located at an end, nestled besıde the raınforest. The monkıes joıned us for breakfast and you can hearthem jumıng on the roof from early mornıng. Our hostess, Tıa, was so hospıtable and frıendly. She had the most gorgeous lıttle kıttens who were so playful. Tıa organısed our guıde to come down and speak to us the nıght before our 1 day trek, so we had lots of ınfo ahead of tıme. ı absolutely recommend stayıng here. You can open the porch double doors and vıew the rıver from the 4 poster bed. There ıs also a hammock on the porch to relax on.

Phenomenal hosts who went over and above to make sure everyone was looked after and had the best time ever in padang. It may seem like it's a bit out of the way but it's a 2 dollar grab to town and it's a lovely quiet place out in the village. Don't hesitate to book here

The place is beautiful and quiet. The staff is amazing, very helpful. They also offer trekkings to the jungle. I did a 3-day trekking. It was the best. We saw orang-utans, had delicious food and the guides were very knowledgeable.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. I spent 2 nights before my jungle trek and 1 night after. I booked the 2 day/1 night jungle trek with them as well. I actually think that is the only way you can stay at their guesthouse, so they ensure that their trekking clients have accommodation. Communication with the manager, Dedycool was faultless, from the time i made my initial inquiry to when the driver picked me up at the airport. The room was spotless, the bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable I've had in 5 months of travel, and the AC did the job. The staff could not have been more welcoming, both upon arrival and every time I came for a meal or returned from an outing. The location outside of the village ensured a peaceful nights sleep. I enjoyed the 30 minute walk to the center, allowing me to see people going about their daily lives. The jungle trek was phenomenal in every way. Both guides, Edwin and Janet, were professional and got excited when we saw orangutans (we saw 7). The food both at the guesthouse and on the trek was very tasty. The trekking was challenging but not overly so. It was fun scrambling up hillsides using vines and roots as foot and hand holds. The camping was much more comfortable than I expected. The camping mats were thick, and the lightweight sleeping bag was just right for the temperature. The rafting back to the village was super fun and a great way to end the 2 days in the jungle. I'm very pleased with my decision to book through Sumatra Orangutans Treks.
