The location next to the lake, the spacious and extremely clean room, the shower with more than sufficient hot water, the clean sheets and comfortable mattress which is firm enough without being too soft for those of us with lower back issues, and Mr. Dimmer who made us feel extremely welcome. He even provided a room for our driver since we arrived much later than expected due to the long line of vehicles waiting to get on the ferry from Parapat to Samosir. We really appreciated everything he did for us.

The most beautiful lodge we had the pleasure to stay at! Nested in the jungle, it felt like a dream to relax listening to the sound of the forest. Everything is beautiful at the Jungle Guide, and the staff is very kind and helpful. We even had the chance to listen to some of them playing the guitar and singing, it was lovely! I can't recommend it enough!

Our stay here was just wonderful. The chalet ıs located at an end, nestled besıde the raınforest. The monkıes joıned us for breakfast and you can hearthem jumıng on the roof from early mornıng. Our hostess, Tıa, was so hospıtable and frıendly. She had the most gorgeous lıttle kıttens who were so playful. Tıa organısed our guıde to come down and speak to us the nıght before our 1 day trek, so we had lots of ınfo ahead of tıme. ı absolutely recommend stayıng here. You can open the porch double doors and vıew the rıver from the 4 poster bed. There ıs also a hammock on the porch to relax on.

The host Dila is incredibly sweet and welcoming. She makes you feel at home right away. She knows where to take her guests for local and cheap food, and she even knows some good options for vegetarians. Dila knows many hidden gems in and around Padang and she takes beautiful pictures and amazing videos of the places that she visits with her guests. The room is clean, and breakfast very tasty. I only stayed one night, but Dila already feels like a friend. I highly recommend her place to stay. The accomodation is outside of the center of town but don't let it stop you from staying there. The place is beautiful and quiet. The staff is amazing, very helpful. They also offer trekkings to the jungle. I did a 3-day trekking. It was the best. We saw orang-utans, had delicious food and the guides were very knowledgeable.

The guides were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the environment, always respectful of the wildlife. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home right away. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. A perfect way to experience the jungle in a responsible and memorable way.
