The location was excellent for visiting the old city. You can walk to just about everything and if you need something from a modern store, the outdoor mall is just a short walk outside of the Jaffa gate, which is close to the hotel. The view from our room looking towards the old city was excellent. There were eateries just outside of the hotel along with small shops with food and drinks.

We stayed at the Templer Inn for five days in June. There are only four rooms, really small apartments, in this Inn. The rooms were immaculate, with modern bathrooms and well appointed kitchenettes. Alon and Reveah, our hosts were wonderful, pointing out local attractions and helping us out with transportation details. They served a lovely Israeli breakfast in the courtyard each morning and graciously accommodated my vegan preferences. They really went out of their way to help with anything we needed, including cleaning my white pants after I had sat on something, well, colorful. The Inn is a historic building in the German quarter and Alon proudly showed off all its history, as it has been in his family for generations. Walking distance to restaurants, bus stops and local shops.
