The owner was very friendly and helpful. All meals were delicious. The location on the lake is beautiful. Vök Baths are close by.

This hostel is located on Berunes farm by the Ring Road and is 45 km from the village of Djúpivogur. Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and lounges. Free WiFi is available. Maybe because of not yet high season, it was very quiet. Shared bathrooms were not the problem due to a few guests. The restaurant is excellent. You can buy breakfast and there are some options for dinner.

The upstairs has a couch that you could sleep on but no dark out curtains and the kitchen we cooked in. Downstairs has two twin beds and full bed. The bathroom has a washer: dryer combo. This was our mid trip laundry stop. The town is cute and walkable.
