Ted’s Place was excellent. Ted-san & Ako-san went out of their way to make you feel very welcome & comfortable. They were excellent hosts. The place has been furnished to the very highest of standards. The breakfasts were excellent, they set you up for the day of cycling ahead. There are some excellent bike trials in the area. Ted is able to provide very high quality American ‘Speciliazed’ e-bikes to rent for a very reasonable charge. Definitely the best hotel in the region! The room was very nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. Onsite free parking. Walking distance to a couple of nice local cafés and supermarket. The house is amazing. Not too big, very clean, and includes everything you need. My bicycle was safe in the garage, but there are also bicycles you can borrow. The host is super responsive and supportive. I got many recommendations for my yumeshima cycle the following day. Some drinks are even provided in the fridge for a small price. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a conbini dinner. Great stay.

The host was super friendly and helped us in renting e-bikes and reservations in the very nearby restaurants. A big supermarket is also around the corner. We can definitely recommend going to Nametoko gorge. You can do this with e-bikes.

WOW! This place is wonderful! One of the most beautiful places I've stayed during my month in Japan. I am only sorry I had just one night, would like to stay longer. Easy to find, all necessary amenities, fully equiped kitchen with traditional ceramics dishes and all electronic appliances you could imagine. AC heates the room well. Shower quite big. Everything spotlessly clean. Emergency food available, since there are probably no shops nearby. Drinks too. Tea & good coffee for free. Boardgames available. The house is designed in an old traditonal japanese style with tatami floors. I was amazed. It looks even much better than on the photos. The staff speaks english, which can be quite useful after an exhausting day on the bike :)
