Experiencing a Ryokan was amazing and Onyado Yuinosho is the perfect place for it, the staff is incredibly nice and accomodating, the food is incredible, the rooms and facilities are so fancy and pretty and atmosphere is so relaxed and cozy! They give you all sorts of amenities, they have free ramen at night, coffee, yogurt drinks and they even leave local candy to try inside the room! They also have vending machines for soft drinks/coffee/tea and alcohol! The meals they serve are extremely tasty and fancy with beautiful window views of the mountains! The private onsen rooms are beatiful and relaxing! The two nights we spent there were the highlight of our trip! Absolutely must recommend this place if you plan to visit Shirakawa-go!

Comfortable beds with quality bed linen. Wonderful spa and spa space. Delicious traditional breakfast. Happy hour with generous sake tasting, beer and orange juice. Comfortable dining/sitting area, perfect for meeting others. We enjoyed every minute of our stay for the Autumn Featival in beautiful Takyama. Thank you

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The staff was both welcoming and helpful. The receptionist even assisted us in calling a restaurant to help us make a reservation. Entertainment on site was diverse and fun (gaming console / books etc). The kitchen is well equipped and offers free coffee and tea.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. Price quality is excellent. Japanese breakfast in the morning is nice, with various dishes prepared. The room itself was large and spacious. There is ample place to park your car, but train station is also in walking distance.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. The staff was very welcoming, the rooms and common areas beautiful and traditionally Japanese. We had a wonderful experience staying at Oyado Koto No Yume!

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. Everything was perfect. The staff was very welcoming, and the room was very comfortable.
