First it’s new year eve night that we planned to stay here. We’re worried about the shuttle bus which available until 18.00. But the hotel gave us special service shuttle bus for the new year eve night to go to the jinja from 11.30-2.00. Thank you very much. All the staffs are very polite, helpful and very warm welcome. We arrived when all the tourist took the ferry off and enjoyed the island by night! The morning, we woke up early before the first tourist came and enjoyed the city. Then we went hiking to hide from the mass and came down to enjoy the hotel onsen! The room are spacious and clean. The service is good, they try to speak your language and answered my annoying question about where to find the best umeshu. We even got free juice and manjus!

Where to start…it was architecturally stunning. Natural materials used in a clever and tasteful way. The staff were charming. The food was sublime. The onsen and terrace was an extra and unexpected treat.

The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.
