Well situated in the centre of Kandy, Raj Residencies offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, free private parking and room service. This property is set a short distance from attractions such as Kandy Museum, Sri Dalada Maligawa, and Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha Statue. The accommodation features a shared lounge, a concierge service and currency exchange for guests. We had a really pleasant stay at Raj Residencies. The hotel has just recently been opened, so everything you see in the pictures is just like in reality, brand new. We were given a room in the upper floor, where you also get your private kitchen and get to share (with another room) the living room, dining area and the terrace. The place looks and feels very luxurious and we got to use the presidential suite for a price of a normal room - priceless :). The breakfast was delicious and plentifull and the staff very helpfull. We had the privilege to meet the hotel owner, a lovely lady that gave us many valuable tips and advice on how to navigate Sri Lanka like a local.

While it was a little out of the city centre, with a car or even tuk tuk, it’s not a problem. And it was very quiet for sleeping. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

An oven and microwave are also available, as well as a kettle. It was the perfect place for us to spend 2 rainy days in Kandy. We were the only guests, so had the entire building for us. Punya and Ravi are very welcoming and friendly. Convenient location on a hill not far from the city, but quiet at night and with a nice view. Road is good, easy to drive in any weather. Interior is spacious, convenient and beautifully decorated. Included breakfast was delicious, also we had an access to kitchen facilities to cook our own meals and free use of washing machine.
