The hotel is very clean, comfortable, all the staff are very nice, and the food from their restaurant is good, but a little pricey.

Set within the historic 1920 Steel Brothers building, Yangon Excelsior is an award winning five star hotel in downtown Yangon. This is a superb 5 star hotel. Everthing was perfect. You can expect high quality in every aspect. I would definately stay again.

The service was outstanding throughout — especially the café team and Nai Min Tho, who were incredibly attentive to our vegan and vegetarian needs. We also loved spending time at the Sarkies Bar, where the cocktails and atmosphere were excellent. Also the Reception team Pwint, Myat and Hana were very attentive. And everywhere we felt pampered and very well taken care of. We travel a lot, but this stay was a real highlight, and we would wholeheartedly recommend The Strand to anyone visiting Yangon.

The hotel was clean and tidy. My room was large with necessary facilities like fridge, microwave, laundry machine. Water was refillable at the Lift area The bed was very comfortable Unfortunately I didn't take a dive in the pool...which looked so clean and pristine. The receptionist, Htet as well, Phyo, the manager were very helpful. The receptionist assisted me in making telephone calls to my spa...as I didn't have a local Simcard, neither could I speak Burmese. The lady manager also allowed my late checkout. My appreciation to the nice room service guys from the bar. All in all, everyone was friendly and great in their service.
