Our stay at Dhoani was too short, but we are already planning our return trip. The staff was very welcoming and answered any questions promptly. Instructions on where to find the speedboat were detailed, and we had no difficulty finding the right boat. The food was delicious and well-priced. We visited 3 local islands and the snorkelling excursions taken with Dhonai were superior. The house reef also has much to offer if you are interested in snorkeling. Staff at Dhoani also organised our travel to another local island by private speedboat at a good price which saved us 1-2 days of travel.

While I was enjoying the beautiful white beaches, the team worked tirelessly to make my holiday unforgettable and to turn every wish into reality. The hotel is located in the very best spot on the island, just a few steps away from a marvelous white beach – in fact, the staff could easily afford to be lazy because the location alone would impress any guest. Yet they are the complete opposite: always hardworking, attentive, and genuinely caring. Whether it was real Italian coffee, a fresh watermelon smoothie served directly to the beach, or fresh papaya for dessert – even when none of the local shops could provide it – they always found a way. The tuna steak came straight from the fishermen at the harbour to my table – something no other place could offer. The rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels and complimentary water provided every day. The hot rainforest shower, very comfortable beds, quiet air conditioning and ceiling fan ensured perfect comfort. The buffet is exceptionally tasty and probably the most varied you can find on a local island. There was always pasta, rice, potatoes, fish or chicken, and sometimes delicious local fruits. The service was attentive without ever being intrusive – always thoughtful, always respectful, and always aiming to make my stay special. They continued to surprise me until the very last moment on the island, even turning the bed into a small work of art. The young and highly motivated team, led by Hussain, does an outstanding job. Special thanks to Mona, Emi, Sana, the cook, and the cleaning staff – and apologies if I haven’t mentioned everyone personally. The beach is cleaned every day, and the entire island is exceptionally well maintained. At times, you almost forget that you are on a local island – nothing is missing, and the friendliness everywhere is almost impossible to surpass. An unforgettable stay – I would return anytime.

The private accommodation is a family venture. The family is very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean. The house is located less than 50m from the sea. The space is very spacious and well-equipped, offering everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Despite its size, it also provides a great sense of privacy, which made it feel like a true retreat. The owner and the person taking care of the property were extremely helpful and genuinely kind. Highly recommended!

Martin, the owner went out of his way to ensure I had a fabulous time in Maalhos. He helped me arrange my boat ticket and organized so many fun events (snorkeling, fishing, a music/traditional dance night, trip to the mosque on a neighboring island). The room is large, modern and very clean. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach. I'd happily stay here again and would recommend it to all my friends!

So you should know that it is for you if you’re searching for some authentic trip without alcohol. That was ok for me and my wife. We wanted to have a rest on the beach, see some fishes, have tasty food and just to stay with comfort. What we have received? - Everything we was waiting for + - True smiles from every single person who work here. It is so wonderful that all staff carries about you, your problems, your needs. They really wanted us to have the best experience we ever had. Even it’s hard to write every single thing why I’m thankful to them because here is not allowed to write so many symbols. Samesh, thank you so much for all of this. Hope you’ll grow to a big hotel director and will give your kindness to as many people as you can! If you want a truly wonderful local Maldivian experience, this is certainly your place to go. The guesthouse is run by a very heartfelt family that is always there for you in case you need help. Shai and Aiman pay attention to every detail and the whole family makes you feel welcomed and straight away like part of the family. We were very lucky to learn so much about the culture thanks to local island tour and daily conversations with the owners, tried many unique local dishes prepared by Shai and Aiman’s mother as well as enjoyed the water excursions organized by the whole Corbin family. Thank you for this beautiful experience on our first local island in Maldives. ❤️🌴
