Surrounded by granite outcrops and with stunning views and roaming wildlife, Desert Quiver Camp offers modern self-catering accommodation, located just 5 km away from the entrance gate to Sossusvlei. Very big, clean rooms. Rooms are at a good distance from each other which feels very private. We ordered the braai package (a lot of choice and you can choose what you want) and enjoyed making our own BBQ. Swimming pool is also really nice. Location is very close to the gate.

Amazing location in nature, with an outstanding unblocked view facing the hills. We felt very welcome at the reception. Nice to refresh at the pool and stroll at the campsite, and enjoy the sunset. After a challenging night at Sesriem Campsite (no choice because we wanted to go on dunes in the morning).. Coming to Little Sossus was the best choice we did, it is a real hidden gem.

Помешкання Camp Gecko - PRIVATE NATURE RESERVE; TENTED CAMP AND CAMPSITE розташовано в місті Солітер. Camp Gecko is one of the best memories of our trip! The setting of the large, comfortable tents in the quiet of the desert; the fantastic dinner braai packs with venison steak, salad, home-made bread and even a dessert (as we were not set up for camping, we were given crockery to use for our meal); the swim in the fish pond/pool with mountains in the background; the long shared breakfast table, where we met interesting fellow travellers. The owner Anna and Ernst at reception, who were both lovely, and the beer in the fridge there which was always cold :). We are seriously considering going back there for a longer stay!

Desert Hills Lodge is situated 35.9 km from the Sossusvlei and Sesriem section of the Namib Naukluft National Park. Offering a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant.... Everything was perfect from the food, the accommodation, the pool, the view!!

The grounds are stunning, beautifully set against the vast desert landscape, and the lodge itself feels peaceful, intimate, and incredibly special. The food was outstanding—thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and easily some of the best meals we had on our trip. Every meal felt like a highlight. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Everyone was unbelievably warm, friendly, and accommodating, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. The excursions were fantastic, and a special shout-out to our guide Wakie Wakie, who was absolutely phenomenal—knowledgeable, engaging, and a joy to spend time with. His tours made the experience even more memorable. Highly, highly recommend Desert Homestead Lodge if you’re traveling to Sossusvlei. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, authenticity, and unforgettable desert magic.

Located on the C19, We Kebi Safari Lodge offers accommodation 88 km west of Maltahohe in the Hardap Region. This property offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This lodge is so special! Beautiful place you can share with wild animals! It’s a unique experience! And the staff is helpful, kind and always with a smile! I wish I can return in the future

The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and also provided us with a hiking paths, one also for sunset watching. Being in the middle of nothing is great for star gazing.
