If you are in Leon take the time to spend a few days at Las Peñitas at Nuevo NAYAL! It’s stunning and beautifully designed. Everything feels new! The spanish couple who set up this place are so kind and welcoming. They have created a true oasis to escape the heat of the city and I couldn’t have had a better 3 nights stay here to round off my trip in Nicaragua. The food is brilliant as well at the restaurant. I ate all my meals there as they were too good! And the staff went out of their way to help me with laundry and tours etc. It’s definitely one of the best, if not the best place to stay in Las Penitas.

The atmosphere was wonderful and incredibly relaxing! The staff were friendly and the owners were truly amazing, always kind and helpful. Everything was spotless and the cabana was simply beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic and the pizza was absolutely delicious, we loved every moment!

Good food at a very reasonable price! Silvana and all her staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Our courtyard-facing room was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfast overlooking the courtyard garden is good. The hotel is situated in the center of town just steps away from Leon’s many interesting sites and good restaurants.
