The balcony at Cozy Cabin was the best part of our stay. It offers an elevated view of the surrounding and let us snap some nice pictures of the Northern lights. There is a bit of light pollution but manageable. It was windy one night and being able to hop into the cabin to stay warm quickly is a big plus. Marc was the most gracious host i've met. Thank you.

Boasting a sauna, Camp Caroli Family House is situated in Jukkasjärvi. The property has garden views and is 29 km from Kiruna Train Station and 17 km from Esrange Space Center. The family house is the actual family house of the team behind camp Caroli and it feels right at home. It’s a dreamy cabin at the end of the road with a view directly on the frozen lake. You can’t beat this location. And don’t get me started on the northern lights. It’s the best place to see any. And we saw many! And on New Year’s Eve! Honestly we couldn’t have dreamt of a better way to start 2025. Go at Camp Caroli! The team is super nice, it’s a family run business and you can tell as they make you feel part of the family as well. All the activities are wonderful and well organized. Just pure polar bliss. The house is warm and comfortable. Even by minus 25 which is the temp we got when we were there. The kitchen is big and nice to cook in. And the bathroom has all you need. Just a perfect place really.

This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Aurora River Camp was a bucket list experience for us..! It is located by a river (frozen during winter) across from the famous Ice Hotel, to which you could walk to (and we did). We stayed in a tiny glass igloo which was an extraordinary experience by itself. The main building offers a kitchen and shared bathrooms and showers as the igloos are only 10 m2 and only offer a composting toilet and a sink and a mini fridge (which is below the flooring). The igloo was very warm and pretty high tech. Our intention was to catch the Aurora Borealis and we did! It may be the best place to watch the Northern Lights in all of Swedish Lapland and you can just go out to the frozen river and have a 360 degree view.. Tony the camp manager picked us up and dropped us off as it is off the main center of Kiruna and waited for us for a food run at the local Coop.. He also advised up on when and where to catch the northern lights and checked up on us when the aurora borealis showed up.. He is a great host! This was one of the best nights of our lives. If you want the full Aurora Borealis experience, go there and stay at an igloo..!! Bucket list experience!!
