The location is great; small island in lake Bunyonyi, perfect to disconnect for some days from the busy Kampala. There is not much to do around, but that fits perfect if what you are looking for is peace and quiet. The lodge has a private swimming deck to the lake- highly recommended to go for a swim there! And shoutout to the library they have- it made by day when I got there. They also provide with free Black Tea in case you fancy that as companion to the reading, appart from the great views. The profits from the lodge go back to the island communities, so we paid dinner with pleasure.

The food was excellent, the ambience was excellent, I cant even start to describe the host efficiency and attention to detail. We got there quite early in the morning but they were ready for us to the last detail. The place is a paradise just like its name, plenty of birds and scenery that is to die for. There is plenty of activities that we never had time for. Definitely going back for a longer stay

He contacted me immediately and made sure my transportation was perfectly arranged. When I arrived in Kabale, he was there waiting for me together with Oris. Such incredibly kind people. They took me to the boat and arranged the boat ride to the beautiful accommodation. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by friendly staff, including the cheerful chef, who cooked an absolutely delicious meal for me — truly the best meal I had in Uganda. I will never forget it. The cottage and the houses are beautifully located with a stunning view over Lake Bunyonyi. The cottages are extremely clean, and the view you have from there is simply amazing. Edward and Oris also took such good care of me on my return journey, making sure I got back safely and helping me throughout my transport and travel. Edward and Oris, people like you are the reason I travel. You are incredibly kind and have truly good hearts. I wish you all the very best, and I enjoyed every single moment of my stay with you. Walter is a very concerned person and since we informed him about our arrival time, he was attentive, unfortunately the bus company we chose to travel from Kampala to Kabale was not the best and we were left stranded in the middle of the road and he took care to offer us a solution, even when it was late and it was not his responsibility, details like this are what make the difference between a place that only seeks to make money and one that really cares about their guests. Regarding the studio, it was well located, had everything we needed, as well as good insulation against external noise and good curtains that kept the room dark, guaranteeing a good rest. We will definitely come back!
