The gite is part of an old and interesting collection of buildings perched on a hill 5k outside of Pont. It was quiet and peaceful. The host was very relaxed and the check-in process was very easy.

The staff were amazing. Speak English, Google translate was also used. Our car broke down and the staff did alot of running around trying to find us a mechanic, taxi, and other hostels as they were full, as couldn't accommodate us for another night. The food was amazing, really large portions, good value for money and only €2.50 for San Miguel. The room was comfortable, comfy pillows, and clean on-suite, decent shower. Extra towels given. Microwave, kettle and coffe machine also available., in communal area. A very nice hostel/restaurant. Didn't hear the customers in the restaurant bar. Village is historical but small. Views of the mountains when on a walk is incredible.

Easy access, parking in front of the appartment, quiet street even the location is in the centre of the town. Very cozy apartment, washing machine and holder for drying big plus. Everything fitted our needs.

The place it is in is really beautiful! So much so, that Id actually like to keep it as my own little secret to come back to next year. The surrounding area is incredible. Swimming in the river or canoeing up the rover to then let the current carry you back is so nice and peaceful. ARES itself is cute. Its not too small, but set up in a way where every spot seems like the camping around it is private and theres not too many guests, even if theres lots. The guy running it is super chill and exremely flexible which i appreciated a lot. Originally we were supposed to arrive at 7 in the evening; because of delays and other issues (never flying austrian again) we arrived at 3 in the morning to a ready set up tent with perfect temperature and really nice beds to just fall into. The next morning he came over after breakfast to do all the official stuff. Everything super nice and easy. The pool is also really nice. Good setup with plenty of spaces in the shade to rest. The water is a bit cooler than the river, which makes it really refreshing on a hot day. Its so quiet and dark during the night. Long time ago that i saw so many stars and heard nothing but rustling of leaves. Sometimes cars pass on the bearby road but mostly its quiet. Definitely try the ensaïmadas (?) they have for breakfast. Super fluffy and tasty!
