Used this as a basecamp for my wilderness excursions in the region. Was really worth it, the apartment is very basic but has everything you need. You can cook in a small kitchen with microwave and fridge, have a comfy bed, a table and a sofa and the bathroom is nice as well. The breakfast buffet is also well worth it and you should take it. There is a small shop and outdoor excursions and rentals in the main building, as well as a restaurant, where you can have decent food. The information the staff provides is always top notch and I would always choose this place again for a trip to the region. I can furthermore totally recommend their excursions and their ferry service to Linnansaari.

Great hotel for a relaxed stay in the forest and near the lake. We enjoyed the private jacuzzi next to our house a lot, the view fron panoramic window was fantastic too. Also great that we could stay here with our dog; a dog bed, towel and bowls were provided as well. There is also a great restaurant - Solitary - nearby, the 5 coyrse meal with wine pairing was fantastic.

What an extravagant place. This accommodation was an absolut gem. When we booked we had no idea what we are getting ourselves into. One just has to go and see for themselves - the pictures here dont do justice to the beauty and idyll of the mansion. The hosts have put a lot of love and attention to detail so that the guests can feel just like home, or even better: just like at their grandparents, which we learned was one of the inspiration for this oasis. There is exceptional food being served, two cats, a lot of art and flowers and several pianos and places to sit and relax - not to forget the very friendly and cuddly sheep and chickens in the yard. We highly recommend and would come again any time.

Situated in Rantasalmi, within 29 km of Varkauden Vesitorni, Mansikkaniemen Lomakeskus is an accommodation offering lake views.
